An unforgettable and successful charity jazz concert for a good cause
As part of the Lions Day with the United Nations in Geneva, the Lions Club Geneva Nations hosted an extraordinary Charity Jazz Concert on the evening of Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Alhambra Geneva. This event gathered more than 200 music lovers while supporting a meaningful cause: raising funds for university education in remote areas of Kenya and India.
The highlight of the evening was the renowned Konstantin Kölmel Project, a band celebrated for its modern interpretation of jazz, funk, and R&B. Led by Konstantin Kölmel, a Leo member from Ger-many, the band features top-tier artists: Nikola Bankov, the Forbes "30 under 30" award-winning star saxophonist from Zurich, and Kilian Sladek, the charismatic vocalist of the German National Jazz Orchestra. They were joined by pianist Justin Zitt from Amsterdam and bassist Paul Dupont, bringing together some of Europe's most exciting young jazz musicians for a great cause.
The evening's program included musical highlights that deeply moved audiences. From jazz classics by Frank Sinatra to a modern interpretation of Michael Jackson's iconic "We Are the World," the combination of groove, emotion, and social commitment made this event an unforgettable experience.
